I’m excited to announce that I’ve recently published a children’s workbook focusing on anger management skills! If you have a child who struggles to regulate their emotions (particularly anger), please know you’re not alone – I’ve seen many children over the years with the same difficulty. (And I’ve seen some adults who are challenged by that, too!) Anger is a healthy human emotion, but some need extra help coping with it. This is where Anger Management Skills Workbook for Kids comes in.
The book contains 40 fun, engaging activities broken down into seven chapters:
- Identifying anger and the internal & external factors that trigger it
- Learning how to self-soothe and lower the intensity of the anger
- Practicing ways to control own behavior
- Expressing anger in safe, healthy ways
- Solving problems
- Developing communication skills
- Managing feelings through self-care and healthy habits
This play-based book is designed for children to complete with the help of their parents, who can help them remember and practice the skills later.
Each chapter ends with several off-the-page activity suggestions that were carefully selected to help children practice the skills that came before it. These activities are fun, creative, and meant for the whole family to do together! I hope your family enjoys this book as much as I enjoyed writing it.
