Services and Fees

I offer counseling for children and adults, as well as for other therapists. For parents, I provide parenting support and training.

In addition to therapy, I am qualified to perform testing and assessment of a wide range of mental, emotional, and behavioral difficulties and personality traits.

See below for more information on each of these services:

Child and Adolescent Counseling

I work with children ranging in age from 3 to 17. Children and teens are given the space to be themselves in a warm, accepting, and judgment-free environment. With little ones, I use gentle and age-appropriate techniques, such as play therapy, in order to help them express their feelings and experiences in a more comfortable way.  With older children and teens, I use a combination of “talk therapy” and activities such as art or games. I can help children with a variety of issues, including:

  • Anxiety and stress
  • Behavioral concerns
  • Depression
  • Emotional, physical, and sexual abuse or assault
  • Life transitions (ex: divorce, move, birth of new sibling)
  • Low self-esteem
  • Trauma

Adult Counseling

I see young adults from 18 to 30. Therapy is tailored to the adult client’s needs. I use traditional “talk therapy,” and also bring in some creative techniques, such as art or writing exercises, to help clients gain a different understanding of themselves and their problems.  I can help adults with a variety of issues, including:

  • Anxiety and stress
  • Assertiveness
  • Depression
  • Emotional, physical, and sexual abuse or assault
  • Life transitions (ex: divorce/separation, move to new city, change in job)
  • Relationship concerns
  • Self-exploration
  • Trauma

Therapist/Counselor Support

Working in mental health is often rewarding, but can also be heart-breaking and discouraging at times. I very much enjoy working with professionals and interns who are struggling with compassion fatigue or burnout, or who simply could use some additional support.

Parenting

Parenting comes with many joys, but can be a confusing, frustrating, and overwhelming experience at times. I work with parents to not only provide specific tools for managing behavior, but to also help strengthen the parent-child bond. I am trained in two parenting interventions: Child-Parent Relationship Therapy, and Positive Discipline, and I provide training in both group and individual formats for a variety of issues, including (but not limited to):

  • Communication
  • Co-parenting
  • Discipline strategies
  • Limit-setting
  • Parent-child relationship
  • Power struggles
  • Tantrums

Assessment

In addition to therapy, I am also qualified to perform testing and assessment of a wide range of mental, emotional, and behavioral difficulties and personality traits. If you’re interested in testing for yourself or your child, please feel free to reach out to me, and I’m happy to answer your questions.

Fees

I’m currently working toward getting on insurance panels; however, for right now I am private pay only. I charge $125 per 50-minute session. If you cannot afford this rate, please reach out to me and we will see if can agree on a fee that will work for both of us.
