Supervision

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor and Registered Play Therapist Supervisor. At this time, I am only providing consultation to fully-licensed clinicians who are seeking their RPT credential.

Professional Experience
In my private practice, I work with children and teens with anxiety, trauma, grief, and relational challenges using play and sandtray therapies. I’m also passionate about working with parents and offer both Positive Discipline and Child-Parent Relationship Therapy. Prior to private practice, I worked at the Highland Lakes Family Crisis Center, where I served children experiencing domestic violence and sexual assault.

View of Supervision
I strive to create a welcoming environment where supervisees are able to bring their honest concerns to the table and engage in a collaborative process.

I believe in emphasizing my supervisees’ strengths; therefore, when you feel stuck, I’m going to encourage you to trust in your own instincts and knowledge to find a way out.

However…I also remember what it felt like as a supervisee to be totally lost and not be able to rely on my own ideas. I know how overwhelming that experience is, and I’m not going to make my supervisees flounder! When necessary, I may lean into a more directive style of supervision by offering specific ideas or a change in perspective. Experiential activities (including art and sandtray) may be incorporated into supervision as well.

Additional info
I charge $65 an hour for individual consultation sessions. Feel free to contact me at amanda.robinson.lpc@gmail.com with any further questions!
