Notice of Consumer Policy

House Bill 4224 and Section 181.105 of the Texas Health and Safety Code requires licensees to post instructions to their websites so that consumers can:

Request their mental health records
Current and former clients can make this request in writing, to the email address listed above.

Contact the Behavioral Health Executive Council to verify my licensure or make a complaint
My license is regulated by the Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council (BHEC), the licensing authority for Licensed Professional Counselors in the State of Texas. Consumers can go to this page of the council’s website and navigate to the appropriate question or request. (Make sure to select my appropriate license type, LPC, when submitting an inquiry.)

File a consumer complaint with the Office of Attorney General’s Consumer Protection
