Do you find yourself getting caught up in difficult thoughts or memories, or struggling with uncomfortable feelings? Do you feel as though you frequently “dwell on the past” or worry about the future? I enjoy helping young adults (18 to early 30s) learn new skills for handling painful thoughts and feelings more effectively, so that they can live more fully in the present.

With me, therapy is collaborative and moves at a pace that is comfortable for clients. At times, I bring bring in more creative techniques, such as art or writing exercises, to help clients gain a deeper understanding of themselves and their problems. Mindful techniques like breathing exercises and guided meditations are often brought in as well.

No one is ever pushed to do an exercise if they’re truly uncomfortable with it. I firmly believe that we all learn best when we feel safe and truly engaged in the process.

I can help adults with a variety of issues, including:

  • Anxiety and stress
  • Assertiveness
  • Emotional, physical, and sexual abuse or assault
  • Life transitions (ex: divorce/separation, move to new city, change in job)
  • Relationship concerns
  • Self-exploration
  • Trauma
