Adult Counseling

I see young adults from 18 to early 30s. With me, therapy is collaborative and moves at a pace that is comfortable for clients. I most often use traditional “talk therapy,” but also sometimes bring in more creative techniques, such as art or writing exercises, to help clients gain a deeper understanding of themselves and their problems. Mindful techniques like breathing exercises and guided meditations are often brought in as well. However, no one is ever pushed to do an exercise if they’re truly uncomfortable with it! I firmly believe that we all learn best when we’re truly engaged and involved in the process.

I can help adults with a variety of issues, including:

  • Anxiety and stress
  • Assertiveness
  • Depression
  • Emotional, physical, and sexual abuse or assault
  • Life transitions (ex: divorce/separation, move to new city, change in job)
  • Relationship concerns
  • Self-exploration
  • Trauma
