My Background

I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Hardin-Simmons University in 2011, and my Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Texas State University in 2014. I am licensed in the state of Texas as a Licensed Professional Counselor and am also a Registered Play Therapist, having completed advanced education and supervised experience in play therapy.

From graduate school until now, I have had the opportunity to hold a number of both clinical and non-clinical positions, all of which have given me the skills and knowledge necessary to be where I am today:

Mentor

  • Mentored high school students with problems with truancy and family conflict

  • Assisted teen mothers in caring for and parenting their children in residential foster care facility
